Dundonald
Dundonald is a large settlement which lies to the east of Belfast, and just west of Newtownards, and is often considered a suburb of Belfast city. It is home to the Ulster Hospital, Dundonald International Ice Bowl and Dundonald Omniplex Cinema and Entertainment centre, with its wide variety of restaurants.
It is the starting point for "The Glider" service, an alternative to a tram system, which offers a regular publci transport service into the city centre and a park and ride service for local commuters. The Comber Greenway is a recent addition which continues to grow and offers a safe route for cyclists and pedestrians all the way into the city centre.
The town has seen significant expansion in recent times with new high quality housing developments including Millmount Village, Coopers Mill and Millreagh. Naturally there are a wide range of services and amenities locally to meet all your needs.
The seat of local government, "Stormont Estate" lies just to the east of the town and offers a spacious parkland to walk around, an excellent kids play park, sports facilities and of course "The House on the Hill" to explore.
Some of Northern Irelands most sought after secondary schools are also located nearby includign Campbell College, Bloomfield Collegiate and Strathearn College.
